Candy Cabs Page 8

Now look here! Just a minute you lot!!

This show is warm, intelligent, beautifully written and a shining beacon to the world highlighting the art of the British TV Comedy. And furthermore I...

Oops! Sorry gotta dash as Matron and two blokes in white coats are bearing down on me with an evil look in their eyes and a six inch hypodermic syringes in their hands.

Do not understand why you let others off for mis-spelling and crudeness? is ok to make a genuine mistake or is it 'nepotism'? such as naff 'cuddly' posts or stupid dat? or 'I'm pink an cuggley, fankuuu'?... I await answer in total despair.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but I very rarely let anyone off for poor spelling and grammar. Crudity is another story.

ps If the women in 'Candy Cabs' have to be rescued by men, that is a failure and very sad indiciment of womens' strength, so to me that is false and sexist.

I'm not sure that they have been rescued by men. A couple of men have acted in their favour, certainly, but it's been made clear that they've done that hard work, and as the whole premise of the show is that a group of women are entering a traditionally macho man's world, it wouldn't really have made sense to have those other sympathetic characters as females.

I don't think they are strong and independent, I think they are quite pathetic and that does make it sexist...

Well, they're certainly not shining examples of business-minded characters, but they've done pretty much everything off their own backs so far, so "pathetic" strikes me as a little strong - I'm not sure how that exactly makes it sexist though. There's no indication that they've run into troubles because they're women, just that they'd misunderstood or overlooked things, or made reasonable assumptions for people who hadn't any experience of this new industry they were entering.

Lol. Dellas when you post in the wee small hours have you been on the Bush Baby juice?

I will watch the final edition of CC and see how it ends but the second was quite divorced from COC. I did find it amusing that all the cab drivers from both rival firms were at the night club, how are they going to get a cab home was a question that had me puzzling.

Oh damn, I came to this site hoping it was when I saw Herr Flick at the helm. Nothing wrong with a bit of hard discipline now and again you know, ahem. And don't you want to be known as the best comedy website in the whole of Europe?

Herr Flick is sexy.

Imagine a Candy Cabs written by the makers of 'Allo 'Allo!. :) Now *that* I would watch.
