Am I the only one who thinks that soft drinks in pubs are vastly overpriced?
No wonder people drink and drive. I'm not condoning it but soft drinks cost about the same as a pint. They should encourage responsible drinking by either reducing the price or say give a free soft drink for say 2 or 3 alcoholic ones.
Does anyone agree?

OK - to make it clear for all you thickoes if you go out for a drink in a group one person can be the driver and they stay on the soft drinks. The others have the alcohol but when you're paying £2 for a coca cola what encouragement is there?
Seems common sense to me.

I was out last nite driving but had 1 pint of Guinness £2.60..then went on to Coca Cola £1.50..per volume prob works out at same price.

I agree with you Dave soft drinks are way to expensive. But it's been that way since I've been drinking.

A bit ignorant, people who drink drive are bottom feeders but because some people can't behave we all deserve to be punished? In that view pets should be banned some peoples dogs that go mental and kill babies so they should all be banned?
Speed kills should cars also be banned?
If you get caught drink driving the punishment should be life in prison and a life time ban from driving. You've gone out there with the intent to drive and so willfuly put other peoples lives at risk and if you don't kill anyone that is just good luck nothing more.
Gavin you are so on the money. I've said the same thing for years, if someone's caught with a gun, the intent is there to use it. I see no difference in drink driving. Throw away the key.Last xmas i went for a few drinks with the lads from work, my boss had too much and wanted to drive home, when we couldn't talk him out of it, i took his keys out of his jacket, he had the whole pub searching for them, when he found out i had them the day after, he thanked me, and said how stupid he'd been.
