Max & Paddy ...

Has anyone heard anything about a 2nd series, or was this considered a "one-off" follow on from Phoenix Nights?

I think it was considered "shit".

I think that Channel 4 said that they'd like another series but Peter Kay so far hasn't written one. Too busy selling DVDs containing old material that he's made money from a million times before I guess.

Hope not. Loved Phoenix Nights, but this was pretty poor. :(

Oh my god I want to do Paddy hard & fast. Am I the only one who finds him PhWoArGeOuS! I mean look at him. That face is meant for sitting on. Hubba Bubba!

I'm more concerned with his acting skills! ;)

Garbage. Really appalling.

Kay is apparently working with Craig Cash on a comedy about dustmen. That could well be brilliant - if it happens.

I really hope that anything Phoenix Nights related is dead in the water - Kay's pissed all over it enough.

I dont care if he can act or not. That face is well worth it. Such a pretty face. A nice face. It would look even more pretty, with my vagina on it.

A feel a tad queasy.

Apparently he's "besotted" with a 16 year old at present. On the upside (no pun intended), Charley, the 16 year old is a girl.

Blimey - where did you read that?

Out on the lovely gossipy world of the Internet. ;)

There has been rumours of a second series of M&P and I’m sure I heard somewhere Patrick McGuinness say that much of it has already been written, but then again there has been rumours of a third series of Phoenix Nights too, so just rumours.

The last I heard was Peter Kay was working with Craig Cash on a DustBin man Sitcom and Patrick McGuinness was working with Leigh Francis.

For the record I like it but agree Paddy acting is very iffy.

That is so unfair. I could pass for 16. All I have to do is a bit of botox & lift my skipping rope tits up a bit. Make them go POW, then my buttocks go POW.
Then he can be obsessed with me. WooooooHoooo!

Actually, I don't think Paddy's acting was too bad - was just being a bit tongue in cheek (no pun Charley...). Just thought the series wasn't particularly funny. May have worked as a one off special but 6 episodes stretched the joke too far.

And much as I love Phoenix Nights, I think they should leave well alone and call it a day now.
