Current radio comedy Page 58

I like Miranda Hart and I like John Holmes, but the recent pairing of them on Radio 2 does rather leave me hoping that they never share a recording studio ever again.

Now Radio 4 Extra has started, you have the opportunity to listen to some all-time great sitcoms on there from the beginning.

All Bar Luke started on Sunday with the very first episode and continues on Sundays at 11pm.

Ed Reardon's Week series 1, episode 1 begins at 11pm tonight (Tuesday). </attempt to future-proof his post>

Series 2 of Cabin Pressure begins on Thursday at 7:30am.

These are all proper good, as I believe the current vernacular would describe them and on for the next six weeks (at least). Listen.

Radio 7 has disappeared from my list of iPlayer favourites. It has not automatically replaced it with Radio 4 extra. Does the addition of the Archers make it that different?

Has anyone tried the new Radioplayer thing? I wasn't sure I'd be impressed but then used it and added all my favourite stations and it's most useful to switch between them without having to navigate ten different websites.

I enjoyed What's So Funny? this morning. It covered a very wide range of different shows, from Campus to Birds of a Feather to Beauty of Britain. I can't remember Serious About Comedy covering so many shows when it was on.

Enjoyed So Wrong It's Right last night.

Yes, it was very good. Although there was a bizarre bit when they seemed to suggest internet forums are filled with unfettered bitterness and negativity.

:) So happy to listen to the Ed Reardons' that I've missed!

LOVE Ed Reardon!

YAAAAAAAY for Ed Reardon!

Sorry, not really an original contribution. Just couldn't help it.

Down The Line was very funny this week. You hear that Rhys? VERY funny.

He does some excellent acting in the radio show. Like when he "pretends" to be annoyed when people criticise the TV show for not working.

Nice bit of baiting.

Our gain is Radio4Extra's loss.
