Thanks. Pity they were only two. Still, it would be very interesting to see what kind of series this might evolve into, i.e. if they decided to continue with it. Better to have tried and failed than never tried at all? Or something along those lines.

It seems that Dirk Gently has been recommissioned.
As part of the Comic Relief Twitter auction, Stephen Mangan is also giving the winning bidder the chance to either watch Episodes being filmed or Dirk Gently being filmed. If the winning bidder picks Dirk Gently, they'll also appear as an extra. The lot currently stands at £401.50.
Chris Carey, the producer, says that auction should have the words 'if commissioned' in it. The BBC haven't decided if they are going to order a series yet.
Yep, Stephen's said on his Twitter account that it depends on commissioning.

Mangan has just confirmed the series will return, with 3 one-hour-long episodes to be made.

Only 3? That is very disappointing.

3 too many if the last one was anything to go by. (Having lit blue touchpaper, now retires quietly while others get hot under the collar.)

Hooray!! I am very pleased. Lovely Mangan.
But will it feature Norse Gods like Long Dark Teatime of the Soul or will it go in a completely different area?
If the first episode was anything to go by, they'll take sections from the books and spin them off into their own episodes.
Who says Stephen Mangan is wonderful?
I thought it was great.
