They think all the people who hate remakes are thick enough to believe a reboot is something entirely different.

Maybe, as long as they do it period style and it doesn't end up like that terrible Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels TV series.

Exactly.

Lockstock TV show was a total abortion

But a sort of bastard child of Sopranos and LOM would be aces

LGF and Mona Lisa are 2 of my all time fave films

I hated the film too. It's queasy celebration of violence and laddism. Repellent stuff.

Mona Lisa is just deeply good

bit like the Crying Game but less surprise saveloys

It certainly wasn't a classic. Snatch was better I think.

That was horrible too. I just don't like Guy Richie or his mockney meringues. That said, I'll happily watch his Sherlock when I can be arsed getting it.

I prefer Lock Stock, it's funnier imo.

Mona Lisa is very good.

I've never seen Mona Lisa, or at least if I have I can't remember.

Micheal Caine is quite remarkable as a villain and 'Oskins was never better.

Um, ever heard of a little film called Super Mario Brothers?

Wonderful sublime, but what were they thinking of with that awful tie in game?

Rudo & Cursi. A Mexican comedy about the rivalry between two brothers. I didn't laugh but I did enjoy it. Although it is slightly worrying that in Mexico good natured hazing in a football team involves forcing the new boy to perform oral sex on all his teamates.

This Is England.

A proper good film. Although hard to watch at times. Combo is a very scary man.
I'm going to have to catch up on the TV series now.

I've liked everything I've seen by Shane Meadows, especially Dead Man's Shoes.

I need to add his early ones Once Upon A Time In The Midlands and A Room For Romeo Brass to my Lovefilm list.

Romeo Brass is brilliant.

I watched Testament the other day and thought it was very good. It was nice to watch a post-apocalyptic film where the protagonists aren't sifting through burning rubble for 90 minutes. The ending was quite sad and almost made me shed a tear.
