Who do you feel more sorry for - Harold Steptoe or Rodney Trotter?
Harold Steptoe or Rodney Trotter
Steptoe by far

Ditto. No argument. Steptoe can't leave. Rodney chooses not to because he's a plonker.
Steptoe!

Ha!
Definitely Harold, he had no where to go with all those aspirations, at least Rodney stood a chance because Del tried his hardest.
Steptoe is quite depressing as a show, but OFAH has a silver lining, so I'd rather watch a re-run of one of them.
Steptoe. Rodney left and got married.
Although there's something a bit Heathcliffy about Harold Steptoe. I'd imagine more women fancy him. Maybe. I don't know.
Yes, Harold, because when he did manage to pull birds, he got some decent crumpet but they always left him because of Albert. When Rodney finally managed to, he got Cassandra, and the plonker married her!
The actor wasn't bad looking when he was young. Steptoe wasn't exactly sexy though!
Call me shallow, but no matter how Heathcliffy you look, there's no way any woman would put up with the dirty old man.

He'd be an upgrade, Zooo. Just think about it.

What do you mean?
He was 100% 70's prime beef, much Like Richard Beckinsale or Rodney Bewes.
You're from a different age - our version of Brad Pitt was Patrick Duffy
Bewes!! Lol.
Beckinsale was pretty though.
Guys had it so easy back in the 1970s, with all those dodgy hairstyles and moustaches it was impossible to tell if anyone was handsome, so therefore every guy was a potential Burt Reynolds.
None of Corbett's characters seemed to have much luck with women, did they? Everything I've seen him in he gets rejected or played with or cheated on by some bird. He did have that kind of mug's face I think.
