It would make a change.
Doctor Who Page 9
Doctor zooo says yes.
By the way, the theme tune is changing again for the Christmas special and Series Four. It will appear in both the opening and closing titles, and uses a brand new version which harks back to the theme first used for Jon Pertwee's incarnation back in the 70's, where by the final notes of the theme are looped and played into the opening scene, as heard in this version - http://youtube.com/watch?v=qleDWHzGAe4
The new theme should sound similar to that, although the drums apparently sound "like the ones used for the Ten o'clock news music", so it will give it a more "booming" feel. Overall though, another reason why series 4 is shaping up to be a very "classic" series
I think I'd like to see Dr Zooolittle.
Of course you have to count the old series-s (that's not right?)- unless of course the one a couple of years ago was the first and the ones in 1964 came afterwards.

David Tennant is meant to be leaving I think.
There are rumours that he is and that he isn't.

Smells like PR to me. I think if he was going to leave to 'do other things' he would have already.
