I read the news today oh boy! Page 353

Parents of children as young as five are being offered airbrushed school portraits to remove unsightly blemishes such as cuts and acne.

Richard Littlejohn really is a terrible c**t, isn't he? http://www.japanprobe.com/2011/03/28/richard-littlejohn-why-my-wifes-pow-grandad-wouldnt-mark-a-minutes-silence-for-the-japanese/

I would say he'd surpassed himself but I read his article after the conviction of the Ipswich serial killer, which was a load of bile along the lines of 'these cheap tarts had it coming.' Beyond misogynist and just plain creepy.

I noticed a link to a previous story on page about the PC brigade persecuting honest golliwog sellers (complete with a picture of 'Red Ken'). You couldn't make it up!

Hmm how about a, "what's Richard Littlejohn's most evil column?" contest

Jennifer Garner as Miss Marple?

Fresh from defending Midsommer producer, Telegraph readers have plenty to get up in arms about with this one.

American Whippersnapper to take on Miss Marple role-

Haven't seen much of Jennifer Garner's acting but I enjoy odd ball casting. I think if you choose a younger actor in a traditional older role, like Benedict Cumberbatch as Holmes or Matt Smith in Dr Who, you at least need an eccentric tweedy style about you.

But it's not a 'traditionally older role'; it just IS plain older. Miss Marple is supposed to be old. She's an old, gentle, harmless seeming woman who solves murders. If she's young, then that's a very different character, and not at all Miss Marple.

I sound like some rabid Miss Marple fan here, I don't even watch the TV show; it's just things like this are so obviously absurd.

Isn't it Alias?

Un. believable.

But when you're the producer you have some say in the casting. Like 'Mine.'

At least she's not been stoned to death as some of these wonderful forward thinking democracies seem to think is the correct way to deal with rape.

Ha. Half the countries on this planet are 100% f**king mental. I'm not going on holiday again. :)

A mate and his missus are off to Abu Dhabi at the weekend. He's got a job there and she's going on holiday for a month. Fun, fun, fun.

I hated UAE when I was there on holiday. Not the best place for a Western woman to go.

That law is ridiculous and the hotel's actions are contemptible.

I've never fancied UAE. Everything I hear about it is horrible.

Where? I scanned back on this thread and only saw the fish resembling Hitler. I'm tempted to draw a moustache on my dog now.
