Were you there?

No, looking faintly embarassed at having to guard McDonalds.

Yes. With the missus and the kids and a group of friends. Our daughter had great fun (she's 3) - someone gave her a badge and she got a nice balloon and had great fun waving a TUC flag and trying to join in with the students who were chanting slogans near us.
Her favourite bit seemed to be seeing someone from the CWU dressed as Postman Pat. She also enjoyed waving to the policement behind the barriers at Westminster but she thought they were firemen. One of the the coppers told his mate off for not waving back at her.
Oh, would have been nice to meet up.
Lot of the coppers have really mixed feelings about this. I talked to a few on the HE demo and they (before the maroons attacked Millbank) were completely behind the protests.

Aww.
