Just curious, I want to know if this forum is full of failed comedians or not.
Also, is there anyone famous on this board, or is it devoid of talent?
Only serious replies please.

Thread moved to General.
Why are you so strangely confrontational, Kanavan?

Ok. My bad.
You know, I keep forgetting how many sub forums this place has, I'll try to put my threads in the appropriate places in future.
Thanks.

I'm not. I have aspergers so my social skills are (quote my step mother) 'terrible'.
I'm sure people will try to use that against me but I don't care.

Fame doesn't equal talent, Kanavan. Not these days anyway. But to answer your question, yes a few 'famous' performers and writers do frequent these boards.
And yes there are comedians who post, some of whom are really rather successful as in they make a living doing what they do. So the 'failed comedian' part of your question doesn't really hold water.
Aw Griff! The Sitcomission don't think so.
I'm a comedic genius.

Fair point.

Who?

Care to elaborate?
Interesting reading this and other topics that Kanavan has posted on this evening.
I note that they have now been banned which might be a shame. The reason I say this is because I had a bit of trawl around various threads and noticed that where he / she? had appeared it might have been easy to assume that they were simply seeming to be a bit abrasive.
At first I thought "A-ha here we go. It's new troll time" and as (at the time) the name was greyed out I wondered if in fact he / she was in the process of being banned (it transpires that they were). I then read the words Asperger's (Syndrome) in one of the earlier posts on this particular thread and suddenly it has all fallen into place.
For those who don't know, Asperger's Syndrome or as some call it, Higher Functioning Autism, is a very sad condition. I know because I have a 24 year-old son diagnosed with it. Kanavan's stance and abrasive comments can be for some in keeping with the key symptoms of the syndrome, although to the uninitiated, his / her attitude may seem confrontational purely for the sake of it. Let me assure you that it's not necessarily the case. Many Asperger's people say it exactly as they see it and some don't indulge in the social niceties that the rest of us do. It's how the Asperger's Syndrome functions. Although some Asperger's people do realise this as a problem and can make adjustments to accomaodate the environment they are in, sadly many others cannot. It affects those with the condition in very different ways. By way of example, my son's three best mates all have an Asperger's diagnosis and not one of the four of them behaves in an identical way to any given social situation. Often the behaviour will seem inappropriate or perhaps a bit odd and just very difficult to understand.
If indeed Kanavan suffers from this condition (I obviously cannot be 100% sure but for a first time I'm prepared to accept it) I think he / she should be reinstated and we should all help to guide his / her posts in a direction that helps with them acquiring the relevant social skills to exist, not only in this virtual world, but also in the wider world in general.
One of the key traits of Asperger's is a sufferer's inability to interact in an appropriate manner with their peers. On the face of it it would seem that Kanavan exhibits this in his / her posts thus far. If anybody wants any further info on this condition then please PM me.
Hard as it may seem to believe, Kanavan may have struggled to participate in these forums in the first place and if a genuine Asperger's sufferer, then should maybe be cut some slack around here, despite how the tone of the posts may read and regardless of how they might be winding others up a bit.
I should add that I have not read all the posts Kanavan has made so the ban might be for something specific that I haven't seen elsewhere, but if it's just for general tone then I would urge a rethink and a second chance.
Anyone interested then have a gander at this for starters. Might explain some stuff a bit better than these late night ramblings.
I'm not yet a "failed comedian" but with a bit more hard graft and the right breaks, who knows?

Hi Blenkinsop! I do hope for Kanavan's sake he is indeed an Aspergers sufferer, and not just a troll using it as an excuse. I've known a couple of people who suffer from Aspergers too, and you are right, everyone reacts differently. And sometimes people might view that as aggressive. The thing that doesn't sit right with me though are Kanavan's use of conflicting statements and emoticons. As you will of course be aware a lot of asp sufferers wouldn't naturally do this, as it generally means imparting a contradictary emotion to a litteral phrase. That disconnect is quite common in apsergers and the wider autistic spectrum, certainly in those with more than 'mild' spectrum dosorders.
But of course, the nature of the beast is that it is different for almost everyone who lives with it. We shall never know...
Not that this really makes any difference, but we have/have had at least 3 or 4 regular posters on here who have aspergers, so we're not complete novices to it. But thanks for your input, Blenkinsop. I'm utterly perplexed as to whether the poster in this instance was a genuine sufferer.

Me too Zooo. Reading some of the posts back earlier and also taking into account what Nat points out, there are many things that don't seem to sit right here.
My post was driven by the desire, albeit quite hard in this case, to try and see both sides of the story.
It seems highly likely, given the hot button topic choices and full-fledged personal attacks, that yesterday's poster was another in the long line of hilarious internet characters the BCG is forced to suffer on a regular basis.
In case the OP was the real deal it's worth noting that, just as a person can be a bad speller as well as being dyslexic, it is possible to suffer Aspergers and be a c**t.
