Writers wanted for GiggleBeats.co.uk

Hi everyone,

My name is Andrew Dipper and I'm editor of Northern comedy website GiggleBeats.co.uk. Primarily I'm looking for feature writers and also contributions for our 'Opinion' section (http://www.gigglebeats.co.uk/category/features/opinion/). 'Opinion' is very much like Chortle's Correspondents, so if you feel like you've got something to say you can contact me on editor@gigglebeats.co.uk with your words.

I'm also looking for reviewers, though naturally I'm a lot more specific about who covers shows for us - I'd need examples of previously published reviews, a copy of your CV, etc. - and they must be based in (or around) Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle.

Anyway, if this interests you please do get in touch via email and we'll have a chat.

Cheers,

Andrew

Sounds interesting. I have sent off my application for the posts to you now.

Thank you for that, Ian. I've responded to your email.

Had a look at the website & sent an e-mail, looks like a decent project for us Northern tykes!

I see the reviewers need to be based in and around certain places, but what about the features writer and contributors bit? Can they be anywhere?

Sorry for asking, I'm currently at work and can't access the site, so can't see further details!

Hi, do the 'opinions' have to be about comedy or any subject?

About comedy. Have a read of some:

Writers can be based anywhere they'd like, however the articles must be either relevant to our Northern readers or have national/broad appeal. For example, I wouldn't publish something about the Brighton Comedy Festival. Hope that clears things up for you!

Just comedy, Philip.

Just thought I'd give this a bump as we're now looking for interviewers in the build-up to Edinburgh and beyond. If you think you're capable get in touch using the email address in the original post!
