Butchers gaze two, the idiot strikes back Page 2

V.V.?

Actually to be fair to Teddy Zooo, I've not had a sitcom produced. Shame if you leave Teddy because you perceive me to be aloof, if it is me you mean, and deliberately unhelpful. As I said earlier it wasn't my intention. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot. It can happen on forums.

:O You haven't?

*loses all respect*

...yet! :)

Teddy, don't be a dingbat! You have allowed yourself to be wound up by one person - the rest of us want to read your stuff and I would love to know how it goes on Tuesday. Who wants peace on the forums anyway?

Griff this 'Character' is just a person who retorted to a perceived slight that was removed before you read it so as such you were not privy to.
As such it would be a fair assessment to state that on this occasion you don't know what you're talking about. I am however eternally grateful that you held back from referring to me as a 'Specimen' acting above their station, well done for your composure. I shall endeavor to increase my word power so that I too can come across with the type of detached aloofness normally preserved for Pulitzer Prize winners.
As for my overall stance it's called bottle were I live and a spine in other places, if I don't stand up for myself then I shouldn't be in the game which is a sentiment that certain others would do well to share.
As for the scouse thing that in no way offends and is classed as banter in my book and I think this site could do with a whole load more, because as it stands the aloofness of some on this site is not matched by either wit nor skill, its just bitterness disguised as civility.
I only wanted to write comedy, now I have through my own fault embroiled myself in having to argue with the people I asked the advice of, perhaps I have shot myself in the foot and have lost a good source of feedback.
Never mind I shall bat on and who knows I may make it and I may not, but in the interim I have no intention of pandering to a few self appointed grandees, who on a good day couldn't write funny with a broken pen and on a bad day are pompous buffoons.
In the interest of peace I shall cease to post on this site and instead follow an individual path so as to concentrate on trying to amuse rather than spend my time arguing with my betters!

You seem to be taking this far too personally. It's the internet, shit happens. So what if someone hasn't said anything positive about your stuff. At least you're getting feedback. Some people post on here and get little or nothing said about their work. If the good comments outweigh the bad chances are you're onto a good thing. You must be if you've had interest. Some of Marcs comments have been constructive but perhaps you've interpreted them wrongly.
I wouldn't presume to tell you how you're thinking having never met you in person and based on such a one dimensional medium as an internet forum so perhaps you could give people a little slack. Marc has given his side of the affair and retracted a comment he thought was unfair, that should be the end of the affair.

Teddy, you are obviously passionate about your writing. May I tell you about a potential outlet for your work, Local drama groups, It seems they all are desperate for short plays. I showed my local drama group
my sit-com Hippodrome Heights,(without expectation) I heard just last night, they are going to see if it will convert to the stage. Although the actors are amateurs, they charge the public to see the plays, because they have to pay for the venues and.......royalties.

As you can see I'm still here and ready to reply.
There is a line in the film 'The Outlaw Josey Wales' which I find very apt given the circumastances.
"Don't piss down my back and tell me its raining"

Hmmmm. I think there is another one? 'blowing smoke up your ass'
If you do listen to the good, you must also listen to the bad and the ugly. So, Do it for yourself and yours.
