British Comedy Guide

So...Twitter....

I'm really into Twitter.

I think I find the 140 character limit a useful tool for keeping jokes short and snappy. Trains the mind...

Downside - your new joke is then open season for all to retweet and pass on as they wish.

That said, I enjoy bantering with other comedians on there.

So who's on? I'll follow like a sheep.

I'm @Fat_Jedi

I was on for a while
And did try writing a few jokes for a bit of fun
But Twitter is tooo time consuming, and a little bit pointless.
I still might put a joke up from time to time.
But I don't have it on very often.

It's not one of your best.

I don't really understand what the attraction of twitter is; unless you have something you're trying to promote/sell.

I follow some funny animators, video makers on there. It's interesting to hear what they're up to/working on etc. Most people on there are pretty boring though, including me!

I only really use Twitter now to plug my blog.

to plug my blog.

Sounds disgusting!

I tweet jokes most days and through this I've picked up several writing jobs as well as a few gigs and people have even come to see me live because of my tweets.

I have to be honest though, I agree with Mr Stott, for me twitter is best when you are promoting something, I can't stand all the banal "Just eaten a banana LOL" type tweets, completely pointless.

High Five!

Hi All,

I am @sam_trott and I write the odd joke every so often!!

Looking forward to the creepy following!

Sam

I have not a clue what Twitter is all about. Are you just talking to yourself on there?

Wouldn't that suit you down to the ground? Especially after a bottle of red or two! :D ;)

That really goes for most social sites I would think.

We were already following each other before we joined this site, Sir!

Didn't know you were on here too?!
