Radio Rejects-writing opportunity Page 12

Hey there Afinkawan. Just listened to your sketch, it was really good. I loved the lines about the man in a White coat that looked like a scientist and the last line about sausages growing teeth was a great ending.

I was wondering if you recorded my Quiz sketch from the show and if you remember how it went down. Would like to hear what they did with it. Thanks lots. Cool

I did and I've just pm'ed the link to you. It went down very well.

I loved the line "His specialist subject is tar and other Macadams."

Hi Afinkawan,

Any chance of a link for 'restaurant critic' if and when you have a moment.

Nice sketch btwI liked the idea of kerplunk line especially (but then again I like any kerplunk line).

With huge thanks to the great Afinkawan here is my sketch from the show:

I've PM'ed your link to you Ponderer.

With the usual grateful thanks to Afinkawan. Here's a link to my restaurant critic sketch.

Dear Radio Rejects Writers,
Many thanks for all your great sketches- we couldn't do it without you. And many thanks to Marc for recording it again. The show is going so well we will continue doing it up to the first week in July. So keep those sketches coming in please! If we don't know your work, please just send in your three best sketches to: lydia.parker@btinternet.com and maureen@oakeley.freeserve.co.uk.
We are looking for actual radio rejects, not brand new sketches. We are live at the Albany, Great Portland Street, the first Wednesday of every month.

Thanks!
Lydia

PS For anyone who missed it, Dan Carter Hope was in the award winning short film "The Furred Man" on Channel 4. It might still be on 4OD. Dan March performs regularly with his own comedy group, The Real McGuffins, currently on at the Comedy Pub on Tuesday nights in Soho.

Sorry, could sketches actually be emailed to my gmail address: lydia.parker27@gmail.com. Just so I can keep things organised!

Thanks,
Lydia

Given the timing of this, prepare for the floodgates opening.

Dan

Perhaps the April Radio Rejects Show can be a 'Nearly Half Of The Characters Are Called Miles' special edition.

I doubt it's as low as half...

It's only the people who have been commissioned right?

Won't be too many people entering then, just plenty of sketches.

I'd enter, but I've had nothing on NewsJack thus far.

If you've ever sent a radio sketch to a BBC show, and they haven't used it, then you can send it to radio rejects.

Really? That's good :) Has it changed since the first post then? (which said 'commissioned')

This suggests you send three sketches to Lydia/Maureen if they don't know you.
