Arrested Development Page 14

Recently bought & rewatched S3. Splendid stuff, shame it didn't last. They should've got three full seasons, not one full and two stump ones. Gah.

I thought the Wee Britain stuff was hilarious though got pretty old pretty fast.

It's weird watching this show now because basically every American show I follow now has taken some part of Arrested Development and made it work for them; be it repeated jokes or punchline density or characters or the way it's shot or whatever.

But none of them, even when brilliant, quite manage the spirit AD captured.

Awesome sauce!

:D Hurrah! My favourite American sitcom ever! Its brittle, unsentimental and unruly -the best the Americans have ever done - in my opinion - and close to my favourite Brit-com "Ab Fab" in the humour stakes! Geek

What an an absolutely brilliant comedy series that I've started watching again on Sky Atlantic. Timeless.

Let's try an experiment for you own health - one post without a mention of Jennifer Saunders.

I'm taking the reappearance of this thread as an omen for me to actually buy AD on the DVD format and actually watch the bleedin' thing.

You won't regret it! One of the best, cleverest sitcoms ever.

Well I've just done Season 3 of 30 Rock, so I have a gap in my schedule. The DVD's are pretty cheap now as well. That's it, I'm going in...

Further to my last posting, I'm into season 1 of this and loving it. Shame it took me so long, but hey-ho!

I envy you watching Arrested for the first time. It's one hell of a show.

My Arrested Development update.

Finished season 1. Classy stuff. All good episodes, but the two with Julia Louis Dreyfuss are particularly superb.

Straight into season 2.

Shame on me for being so many years behind.

That bit where she's thrashing around with her cane and Tobias is trying to slink about to avoid her! Laughing out loud
