I have neither (time commitment problem), but if I could I'd have a dog. You can have more fun with them - throwing sticks and what not.
If I had to be reincarnated though I'd come back as a cat - they clearly have one over on their owners - just turning up for dinner without any sign of gratitude and then heading back out to get intimate with lots of lady cats!
I'm giving my dog to an old woman this weekend. I feel pretty bad, but I'd rather he be somewhere he gets lots of attention and what not.
