They have lepers in Ben Hur?

We really need more lepers in films.

Masses of lepers. I'm sure some of them must have been fighting in the background.

I used to worry about catching leprosy (being a hypochondriac).

Shocked loads?

Hard not to admire the intruders moxy. He breaks into someones house, has a shower, then rings the police because he's afraid of being shot. That's the way to do it!

This is interesting. I'd be interested in hearing what bigfella thinks about it.

An implant intended as a less drastic alternative to stomach stapling or stomach bypass surgery for the morbidly obese is now being sold in Europe. The device senses when a person is eating and generates a premature sensation of fullness by stimulating nerves that curl around the stomach.

The implant, developed by Intrapace, a company based in Mountain View California, is available in Germany, Spain, and the U.K.; the first implantations are scheduled to be carried out later this week. In trials involving 65 patients, the company says, the device led to an average weight loss of 22 percent after one year, with some patients losing as much as 38 percent of their body weight. These results have not yet been published.

I thought it was going to say it gave them an electric shock or something a couple of sentences into reading that.

Didn't Status Quo say that too at one time?

I think that was just leaving the country if Labour got in. Which Collins said as well, IIRC.

I read that he's pretty much given up on music for the last 10 years and spends most of his time researching Texas history and collecting Alamo memorabilia. He's one of the foremost authorities and always visit San Antonio for the anniversary in March. He might even be here at this very moment.

Why does the written precis NOT say that the homeowner was a woman?

Why does the sex of the victim matter?

Getting rid of the displays and keeping fags under the counter does work as a deterrent to people buying them. Obviously a devoted four-packs-a-day man won't stop because of such measures, but kids are less likely to take up the habit when cigs become less visible. Smokers who've quit are also less likely to resume when they no longer see fags for sale. It's been going on in Australia, where the tobacco industry is now waging war against the government's plan for plain packaging for fag packs.

I never heard of Quo saying that. They did 'retire' though after Alan Lancaster left. I have the shirt for the 'End of the Road' tour.

I think I had one of those. My one Quo gig at Crystal Palace. 84, was it?

Indeed, 1984.
