Treason Show Documents

I joined the Treason Show writers list and they sent me some edit sheets with song titles and one liners about news events. Have these songs already been written or are they asking for material based on their title? Thanks

I didn't know there was a Treason Show writers list-makes sense though. My advice would be to contact the person who gave you the list.

Hi BlahBlah

The edit sheets include ideas they'd like material for (the one-liners are ideas for angles to the story). After the show, they'll send you a running order that will list all the material/writers used.

I was told my stuff was on read through couple of weeks ago but nothing since. Should I email them and ask if it made the show or just wait until the list comes out? don't want to annoy them

They have to add stuff right up to the very last minute, so even if it's 'definitely' in at this point it might end up cut on the night for reasons of time or if a bigger story breaks. You might as well wait until you get the running orders after the show.

Were you going to try and see it? If so, I'd go anyway - there's nothing like seeing how it all works live.

*edited coz I can't spell... have girl flu*

It probably won't be in the guide but, and in absolute seriousness, writing a nob gag for Treason founding father Mark Brailsford is a sure fire way of getting something into the show. So, think of an idea that incorporates nudity for the boss and that's about all there is to it. Sad but true.

Except on those months when Mark isn't performing, when get-your-knob-out sketches are received with considerably less enthusiasm.

Very true is that and for the life of me, I can't remember Mark missing from more than a just handful of shows over the last 11 years.

thanks guys I was writing a sketch could easily involve nudity and stuck some in. Improves sketch and more chance of getting on - the maths I like to do

Mark wasn't in it last month but the director wrote him a naked gag to send in on VT! I swear, it's like the ravens leaving the Tower of London....
