Right.

I watched tonight's An Audience With Ken Dodd, and very good it was too. A good evening's telly, combined with the fascinating Arena documentary after it. A fine, fine comedian; even if one doesn't take to his brand of humour, as Tim alluded to, there's really no doubt of his love for and dedication to the art. A real comedy scholar and inspiration IMO.

And yes, I've been to see Doddy live.

...Plus of course Shaw was one of the few critics who actually could turn out a decent play. Although I think his eventual position was you can either be a Diddyman or a Treacle Miner, not both.
