I live up north mate, we still have to wind a handle to get the petrol out of the pump ;)

There are pay at pump thingys up North- Tynside anywho.

It's been at least 10 years since I last handed over cash to a clerk before I pumped my gas.

Stupid Libyans, I paid $2.95/gal yesterday morning and when I drove home 6 hours later the price was $3.15. (If I calculated correctly, that's 48p and 52p per liter.)

It's too bad airport security only allows 100ml containers of liquid in carry-on bags or my next trip to the UK would pay for itself.

£6.85 a gallon or about $10 a gallon

I'm sure it was only about 37 PENCE per gallon when I bought my first car.

Aren't UK and US gallons slightly different sizes? I know I could Google it to satisfy my curiousity, but in my defence, I can't be arsed.
