British Comedy Guide

Their Best & Worst?

Most actors who appear in sitcoms tend to appear in more then one. So who would you choose as having the best role in one sitcom and having the worst in another?
Or been in the best sitcom and appeared in the worst sitcom.

Here's mine:

Matt Le Blanc
Best: Joey (Friends)
Worst: Joey (Joey)

Ralf Little
Best: Anthony (The Royle Family)
Worst: Jonny (Two Pints)

Jessica Stevenson
Best: Daisey (Spaced)
Worst: Bex (According to Bex)

Nick Frost
Best: Mike (Spaced)
Worst: ? (Hyperdrive)

Wave

Yes I'm bored!

Spaced is no better than Hyperdrive. Or According To Bex.

In fact, from what I remember, ATB is the best of the three.

:P

I'm actually deadly serious there.

But anyway.

Ronnie Barker.
Best: Probably Norman Stanley Fletcher.
Worst: The Magnificent Evans.

There. That and your not liking the Office proves your opinion is worthless!

What?! What?!?!?!?!?! You really do ho have conservative tastes dont you?! :D
Spaced is one of the all time great British sit-coms, its just perfect to me in every way, Bex was rubbish, Pegg and Stevenson even admitted as much when they appeared on stage in some comedy thing a year or two back when they both made fun of the show. And as for Hyperdrive . . . . Jesus Christ, Frost deserves a good TV vehicle and that isnt it.

Or maybe it's you, for liking shows which aren't proper comedies! :P

Not sure what conservatism has to do with liking or not liking Spaced...?

Oh god, the "proper comedy" phrase now. Dear lord no. *shakes head*

You prefer show like Bex, very run of the mill, bland, safe comedy, to something a little wilder, experimental and more creative like Spaced. And from what I can make of some of your prefered comedies, such as Bless This House, I think its a fair enough comment to make! ;)

Yep, I'd agree with that.

Well, partially. My tastes are too varied to 'box' quite like that. But yes, I'm probably more likely to like something if, as above.

Joey series 1 is actually quite funny. Series 2 is rubbish of course.

Which actors/actresses have done more than one good sitcom then? Who's done more than two?

Julian Barratt's done 3 good ones.

Asylum, Boosh and Nathan Barley.
All very different characters too.

Oh, not this again . . .

Nathan Barley was really terrible so it doesn't count.

Not what again?
