Arg. I HATE that TV ad where the man has a cigarette pack stuck to his hand and can't get it off.
Makes me go all itchy and OCD and want to scratch my own skin off.

Just eat straight out of packets/tins and eat over the sink/bin. Use neighbour's toilets and lay down some tarpaulin until Frangie can operate hoover again.
Looking forward to my neighbor's crawfish boil tomorrow. Beer + mudbugs = good day.

I think my external hard drive may have just died, with 470 gigs worth of 'stuff' on it.

Bad luck. Although it could be karma for the Sick Joke thread!

Quite often it is the power supply portion of an external drive that fails and the actual drive unit inside is still OK and readable.
You can then read it by getting an external case (of the right type) and transferring the drive unit, or often by opening a desktop computer and installing the drive unit as a second disk drive.
