One or two of you will have heard of Wreckless Eric who released some records on Stiff in the late 70s. I'm now one of his "Friends".
However Facebook have now insisted he change his name there to his real name of Eric Goulden because they fear he is an imposter.
Firstly who else would pretend to be Wreckless Eric and how would they benefit?
Secondly if you want to be his "Friend" you can't now just search for Wreckless Eric because it's not there.

We are having this issue at work as we represent a number of famous people so we have to now provide a number of proofs of identity to prove it's really them. Nightmare.

I wouldn't call them epic. Let's not blow this out of proportion. I sent him a message once saying "Hi!" and he replied with a cryptic "user is now offline".
I still laugh about it to this day.
