Can you write? Page 3

There's nothing to get really.
As soon as you get that there's nothing to get, you'll get them. ;)

I do like some poetry I've read. But I just don't get the different structures used. It's all lost on me.

I went through a stage of trying to get poetry, but it didn't work. I remember reading some 'renowned' poet and it seemed to be very lengthy and boring poems about Greek gods.

That's surely the way to get people hooked. Huh?

Heh.
I don't know nuffin' about poetry.
I like the ones that rhyme too.
And short ones.

Think of them as song lyrics, though, not some indecipherable secret that you can never understand. They're pretty much the same thing.

There was a poem I liked but then saw a clip from a movie where it is recited by Cameron Diaz. I was like Sick

Oh dear, that can't be good.

I like that poem in Four Weddings and a Funeral.

LOL!

That poem 'F**k' at the beginning? It was deep, I'll grant you, but rather repetitive. Unimpressed

I also write poetry. And it's really f**king good.

Thanks Godot for that valentine your poems are indeed ace!

I used to write a lot of poetry and short stories. Had a few of both published. But then I got a job which meant I couldn't write instead of doing what I was getting paid for, and I just kind of fell out of the habit. My New Year's Resolution last year was to write at least 400 words a day. Of which I wrote not one.

I'll tell you what I hate writing - and that is bloody letters for other people!!!

Are you writing letters for illiterate prisoners?
