The 'Can you draw?' thread got me thinking. I know a lot of you write comedy, or sketches, but just to be subversive I write poetry instead. Does anyone else (except you, MarcP 
), write poetry, prose, or anything else?

Why don't you? I know it's easy to say now, and it's hard to find the time, but it seems like you enjoyed it!
The title of this thread suggests that standards around here have fallen even lower than I already feared. 
Can't wait for the "Can you tie your own shoelaces?" and the "Can you use a flush toilet?" threads...

Aparently Aslan wrote poetry but was held up by his poor spelling compared to other fictional lions.
After all a "Prose by any other mane would spell a treat."
I like poetry because it's quicker. I can just sketch down a few lines and then sort them out later.

Used to write novels and short stories (that nobody wanted to buy!) before trying scripts. Wrote my first new short story in ages recently. Oh, and a couple of years ago I had to write a wedge of poems for World Poetry Day and pretend some kids wrote them. That was surprisingly fun.
