The codes are all list on the BCG's help page.

Quote: Ian Wolf @ February 17 2011, 2:39 PM GMTI was just wondering if anyone else on the BCG forums who was a fan of either anime or manga - not just comedy, but of any kind.
I wouldn't call myself a fan but have enjoyed the odd anime/manga film I've seen. Tend to, or used to watch some random ones on Bravo/Sci-Fi/Film4 channels late at night.
I remember watching Akira, not knowing really what was going on but still left feeling impressed and like I'd watched something amazing.

Akira is a bit of a mess way to much crunched into the run time. Impressive agreed, and exposed US mainstream market to Anime. So it's influential.
Quote: Nat Wicks @ February 17 2011, 3:23 PM GMTWell yes maybe, but it's still Miyazake and I'm ignorant and tend to lump them all together.
I will allow it. For now.
Have you seen Appleseed? It's a bit generic. But alright cel shaded 3d oooh and they use similar in Vexille, which is also alittle generic but enjoyable enough.
Ninja Scroll was a bit shit from memory.
OH! But a Great film "Girl who lept through time!
Akira was f**king mental. Really f**king mental.
Blood the Last Vampire was excellent.
Do the Aeon Flux shorts count? They were made in america but they're stylistically very manga.

Oh Yeh Blood was good. The Live action film version was Pony though.
Aeon Flux I never got into. To stylised for me.
Yeah the Blood movie was a massive disappointment. Booooo!
I loved Aeon Flux. Picked up a second hand copy of the DVD for like a pound.
I still have trouble fully understanding Akira. I think it's great, but the plot is as clear as mud.

Didn't one of the Aeonflux guys do an Animatrix?
I know the Bebop director did.

I'll avoid that one then.
The first ever anime I watched was Evangelion. Much prefered the endings in the films rather than the series. Haven't seen the latest one yet.

Is that the one where the main character keeps dying?

From what I recall, Shinji is one of few to survive (in the TV series and films that I have seen anyway). No doubt all the relevant info will be in here.

Ah reet. Thats not the one I was thinking of, not a huge fan of the mecha stuff.

Glad I'm not alone in that.
