Also throughout the 'season', festive episodes of shows such as Bottom, Harry Enfield and Chums, and Alistair McGowan's Big Impression on Dave, and the usual on UKTV Gold, Paramount et al. Check listings for times.

And that's about it. I've tried to highlight a selection of different stuff, including Simon Nye's panto adaptations, BBC One's big Oliver Twist drama series, all 13 episodes of the Carry On Laughing sitcom, and a few other films, documentaries and shows related to comedies or featuring notable comedians. Shows highlighted in bold are, as far as I'm aware, new Christmas specials (although it's possible I've missed out a few). Oh, and the Red Dwarf episodes early mornings on BBC Two are series one, in order. If you've got any questions about any of the programmes listed (further details, episode number, etc), post and I shall answer. :)

Oh, and let me know if I've missed anything out which you think needs adding.

How long is "The best bits of Catherine Tate"?

Five minutes?

Its just her saying she doesn't want to do comedy nymore, thats the best bits.

Thanks Aaron for the listings. You're the new Radio Times :)

Ithankyou.

I think I'm going to be setting up quite a few recordings whilst I'm at work!

Cheers Aaron.

Though I now don't get to go through the Radio Times with an orange felt-tip -- it's like a tradition!

Dan

Ah, you can still do that of course - just with far more prejudice than I have!

I don't normally watch Christmas TV, but this year I have no choice...so I thank you Aaron for making the selections for me.

good work aaron. thanks for that.

still can't really spot anything good though. although it should be wonderful for anyone over 50.

Laughing out loud

Good work Aaron.

Is Extras just one part? I thought it was going to be two specials like The Office.

Nope. I'm only seeing the one in my listings (and a couple of repeats of it). Hadn't heard anything suggesting it would be a two-parter either. It's bloody long though. An hour and a half, wasn't it?

Aaahhh.

I reckon you're just making it up. Looking for sympathy. (In the dictionary between shit and syphilis). Any excuse to laze about.

I usually mark loads in the Radio Times and hardly watch any of it.

shhhhhh I am faking it David...and not for the first time! ;)
