Tuumble tunes out...? Page 2

Was it something I said, Tuumble? :(

I will be sad if you go, but absolutely undertsand that the interwebs can take over from real human interactions (that's one of the reasons I started doing standup!). Sometimes you just need to know where to draw the line, and sometimes that line is a complete cut-off.

Don't suffer things on your own though. You've made some friends here, and we're on Facebook whenever you need us :)

Good Luck..
We've known each other quite a long time now on several forums.

If its any consolation early 40's is the age in which a person tends to make changes in their lives.

When I was 40 I left working for the University & created a Limited company to become a free lance consultant and I've worked for myself ever since.

Now though, some 30 years later, it's time to make another change and I'm finally closing down my Company.

But I never had the joy of having a Wife & Kids, so I envy you.

Crikey I just welled up there, poor Bill you're a wonderful guy.

And Tuumble go easy on yourself some people envy what you have, Bill isn't the only one.

All the best Tuumble, take care. See you soon.

I think its very brave to bare your soul so to speak on a forum, and rest assured you are not alone in finding life a bit tricky...my own being anything but plain sailing for one, hope you get things as you would like them to be..best of luck

n.b this isn't my fault for remorselessly bullying Tuumble is it?

Hug Good luck, Tuumble. I hope you don't stay gone too long.

Sorry to hear you're having such a crisis Tuumble, but there is life beyond these forums, I've seen it. As Mr Henman says, take a break then come back and tell us how great you're doing. Good luck, all the best.

Jeremy, you're a nice person and your family loves you for who you are so don't underestimate yourself. Sometimes it's possible to analyze things too much instead of just getting on with living and enjoying the simple things. You may have a deep dissatisfaction with your job, but that may be due to a mismatch between you and it, and definitely not because you're some sort of inferior being. A hug from a parent or partner is priceless (not in the comedy sense.

Anyway, I hope you tune in to read all these good wishes from everybody here.

I can only add to the chorus of wishing you well and hoping you'll get things in order and be back some time.

Good luck Ode Pal.

Try the motto I live my life by . . 'It Will Pass'

And believe me it will. Maybe not today, this week, this month or year but . . it will pass.

I'm currently in a pack of shit with my domestics at 64 years of age. It wasn't supposed to be like this. It wasn't in my life script, but, it will pass and one day, I don't know when, my life will be back on track.

And one day you'll look back and think 'what was all the fuss about?'

Take care Mate.

64?

Blimy you type like a young un

Hi everyone. Some retirement that was - I lasted 2 days.

It is only a flying visit mind and follows Ellie's Facebook message saying I should come back and take a look at the thread. I have to say I was really surprised and the number of comments - I thank you all, it means more than you know.

Just to let you know how I've used my time since Thursday I've applied for four jobs and got feed back from two. One looks good for an interview but the other I'm now having second thoughts on because I might just be shifting sideways to a very similar job in the same sector which seems a bit pointless despite my experience. I don't want be going through this again any time soon so I'm almost certainly going to reply and say 'thanks but no thanks'.

At home I've finally cleared all the boxes from the lounge corner which had been there, ahem, 18 months so that's an important step and a good feeling too. We had a table top stall at the school and made £20 so a bit of decluttering and cash can't be bad.

Anyway, thanks again. I will be back but I'm just giving myself some space to focus on other things for a bit but fear not, I'm already mentally storing up ideas for 'the worst idea for a sitcom thread' :)

Blimey, you work fast!

Glad you're not abandoning the BCG forever. :)

Great to see you fighting back, Jeremy. It's not you - it's THEM!
