Well, I think the comp only closed about 2 weeks ago and it takes a lot longer than that to pick 12 finalists.
No, the finalists were emailed not later than the 30th November. I too wondered how they could pick out the 12 so soon as the comp only closed on the 23 Nov!!!!
I entered, and noticed they had just a week after the close date to judge the entries. I think that's good. I didn't hear anything by the 30th and it's much better to get a quick 'no' like that rather than a long wait for the rejection. I mean I'd rather not get rejections at all, but if I must I'd rather it was quick, painless, possibly even in my sleep...
But they couldn't possibly read all the entries in the length of a week. Me thinks they knew beforehand who would win
I think this was something I got a reject message about weeks ago. So many things going on. But mine must have been really bad.

You wouldn't have got a message from this comp. It was clearly stated that only the 12 finalists would be notified.
