I thought the last episode was really enjoyable but it's getting even less sitcom-y as it goes on. That episode was definitely more drama than comedy in my eyes. The end of the ep make me quite sad.

I agree. It was a bit sad that Mangan's wife is such a killjoy prig that she's driven him to wanking off over internet porn.

It was a bit sad that her insecurity had pushed him away, but he's definitely being too naughty. It's not just porn if you know the person in it. I imagine.

He should drop the ball of snipey misery and go off with Joey and the porn girl.

Laughing out loud

Gags about tits and getting the munchies.
Ho-hum.

Only 2 episodes left, hang in there, guys.

To be fair she might have been lovely when they were in England. She never wanted to go to LA. I don't know why I'm defending the character- she's a ballbag.

And it's not Greig's fault either. It's the writers, both of whom are men. And Crane in particular wrote excellent female characters on Friends.

I'm loving this. And yet it's clear from a cursory glance at this thread, that many of you are not. It's certainly taken a while to build, but it's a very engaging and funny show.

Have finally given up 10 minutes into episode 4. Cant believe I gave it so much of a chance, maybe should go back and watch 4 episodes of Big Top, as this surely can't be any worse

Uh-oh...I enjoyed the latest episode. Except for the end scene....urrrrrrrr

...And because people 'hang in there' the ratings give a false positive, and it gets a new series. If it's not worth watching, don't watch it. I don't!

I stopped watching it after the first episode. Admittedly the concept was so shit they had several miles of ground to make up but it was undeniably poor in almost every respect.

There are no good sitcoms with poor opening episodes. Not one. If you can't write a good opening episode you can't write sitcom.

Accept that the opening episode of this was a bit ordinary. But does that mean David Crane can't write sitcom? The man who wrote Friends?

Maybe he was the Garfunkle and Kaufman the Simon?
