You don't have to look at him when the CD is on.

I can't help but visualise his simian-face, though. And it's not a good simian face, like Doctor Zaius. It's a bad one.

How can you compare them to say New Order or Echo and the Bunnymen?

They are, just class. I've only recently properly discovered them and just can't leave them alone. Love everything about them. Now getting into Ian Brown's solo stuff as a result, love his album 'The World is Yours' his first album 'Unfinished Monkey Business' is good aswell, thanks greatly to the classic song 'My Star' However I have another of his albums which I don't like titled 'Solarised'

I think The Second Coming has four or five great songs, but the rest is a little underwhelming. Turns Into Stone is a better album. Even if it is a compilation.

Reni was a great drummer and I thought Squire was God when I was a teenager. A shame they don't make bands like that anymore.

Loving Crystal Fighters - Star of Love. Very much recommended!

Lo Fidelity Allstars Feat. Pigeonhed: Battle Flag

Disappointed to hear The White Stripes are no more; say there will be no more albums and no more live shows. One of the best bands of the last decade are now kaput. Hopefully Jack White will concentrate on a really strong solo album, as opposed to just carrying on with his other bands.

I'm listening to White Stripes as we speak!
I only really liked their first 3 or 4 albums anyway, so I suppose it won't really make any difference to me.
Bit sad, but at least it wasn't acrimonious.

What a sickener; The Stripes are/were the nuts.

Gutted!

Glad I managed to see them a couple of times!

I was very sad about The White Stripes. I spent most of the 00s growing up and listening to them. Still remember buying White Blood Cells from Andy's Records. :(

The Streets new album. Thankfully, it's back to the quality of the first two rather than the last two which bored me.

I used to Lovey Carter USM. But then I also used to Lovey Senseless Things, Ned's Atomic Dustbin, and Frank and Walters*.

*I still quite like them in a shake-my-head-at-15-year-old-me kind of way.
