You'd probably have to pay dwarf actors because there is a much smaller (not a pun) talent pool.
How do you promote your internet comedy show? Page 3
I was thinking camera trickery, cgi
Though there is a dwarf who rides past my house every day on a BMX (true)
I fear for the success of your clip
LOL, how did a 30 sec cartoon idea turn into driving a car through a police wall
I've got a few people in production reading it at the moment, so I'll wait and see what they say first before I get any big ideas
Pft, who needs expert opinions when you can listening to the ramblings of inexperienced random girl on a comedy forum?

Thanks! It didn't go viral though!
Quote: Nat Wicks @ October 21 2010, 9:48 AM BSTMake a really good viral ad/trailer, hope the YouTube collecting love it. That's what I'd do.
we made this trailer and got a few shorter clips on the channel. is doing ok, bt not hit the roof yet
Good question - I'm attempting to do the same at the moment!!!
I have an internet reality/comedy show, that we started a couple of months ago, called DPTV - We've made 6 episodes for series one, and have managed to build up a small, but loyal fanbase on facebook (which mainly consists of friends, and friends of friends)
We posted the first episode on YouTube, got a handful of hits, and no attention, so decided to post the episodes on 'Vimeo' instead (the best quality video host on the web, in my opinion) - Next to none of our hits actually come from vimeo - They all come through the facebook fanpage we created...
So the first thing I'd suggest to you is to set up a facebook fanpage to host your episodes, and interact with viewers - Suggest that all your friends join, and ask them to do the same with theirs...
So far we've managed to gather just under 200 'fans', purely by word of mouth, and suggestions - For the second series we're contemplating 'buying' a 1000 facebook fans or so, to bump the page up, and make it appear more popular to potential viewers (stll dubious to if this works or not...)
Our next plan is to get a few thousand business cards printed up, and post them through peoples doors, to see if we can gain any viewers....
The next step after that is to revisit YouTube, upload the episodes there, and possibly try and cheat the system to get hits (there are various tricks, I've heard...) and see if we can build up a buzz...
I'll let you know if we have any luck....
Demay
(Mods - Not sure about the rules of 'advertising' here, but I'm gonna post a link to the episodes if that is ok)
DPTV
To be completely frank, forums like this are a great place anyway!
just get a discussion going about it,
if you'd have put a link, I'd have checked it out right now!
it's easy;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEFcJyPqu0o
see!? haha
if you're not already, then obviously YouTube is a great place to get your stuff up,
it's gotta be the most popular video hosting site,
if not, something more deliberate like www.funnyordie.co.uk.
Depending I guess on whether you mean like short films and sketches or like feature length film?
either get the link out there on places like this
or the title and synopsis!
then facebook!
show your mates!
some people don't like to do this,
but my humble opinion is;
if you don't want to show your friends,
then there's a good chance it might suck!
haha
hope this was of any use?
hope you liked the little sketch I linked too!

Thanks for the feedback! we've just done this one now:
