Hope the mighty Brewers do the business in their first ever forth round FA Cup tie.
But we could do without the fixture. By the end of today we will have 6 games in hand on some teams in league 2. We have to play a game every 3 or 4 days till the end of season.
Just looking at some details on past matches between Southampton and United. On the ITV site it has a report from a meeting in 1992...
1992 4th Round replay - Manchester United 2-2 Southampton (2-4 pens)
In a difficult year for United in which they were pipped to the league title by Leeds, they also missed out on the FA Cup after defeat to Southampton in Round Four. After a 0-0 draw at the Dell the sides met at Old Trafford, and it was unfancied Southampton who came out on top in a pulsating replay.
Stuart Gray and Alan Shearer put the away side two goals ahead early on, but United pulled one back through Andrey Kanchelskis before Brian McClair grabbed a last-gasp equaliser to take the tie into extra time. In the shoot-out Neil Webb missed an early penalty, and when Tim Flowers saved Ryan Giggs's penalty the tie was over and the away side had sealed a famous win.
...and Ryan Giggs is still playing! Amazing that Bryan Robson, who was then a team mate, is now 54.

I got 9 but without the time pressure there was at least another couple I could've got.
Come on you Saints. Making those scum look distinctly average.
Didn't work, Dave!
Well they were. Southampton are a third division team. The other lot purport to be the best team in the country.
Better to scrape through than scrape a draw!
It's OK. They'll get too cocky and blow everything.
The law of averages says that United are due a loss soon. OK, The Arse went a whole season without losing in the league but they still lost six games during the campaign as a whole, seven if you include the Community Shield loss on penalties.
Just looked at United's record this season and the only defeat is the 4-0 loss to West Ham in the League Cup. It would be harsh of me to include the pre-season defeats in friendlies against Kansas City Wizards and Guadalajara.
Chappers, you too could have a body like this for £1000 !
Ever the optimist...
Will Motty never learn?
Go Leyton Orient!
It's my dads Team so I always kkeep an eye on em.
Hope they get a good day out in the next round.

Surely any away draw must be, by definition, a good day out if you live in Waltham Forest?
