Not Going Out - Series 4 Page 14

Yep, that sounds about right.

It doesn't, it sounds mental! And didn't he used to look a lot more like Timothy West?

You might have guessed I thought there was a lot wrong with this episode. From the one-joke idea to the implausibility of Lee agreeing to "dance".

Pretty lame, overall.

Okay, according to this episode, Tim's parents have been married for 30 years, since she was 20 and he was 40.

Also, Tim is 10 years older than Lucy.

That makes dad 70 and mum 50.

Assuming Tim wasn't born before they were married, that makes Tim no older than 30 and Lucy no older than 20.

(In reality, Tim's 43 and Sally is 30. If they were playing their true ages, Tim was born when his mum was 7)

QED

Tim's around 40, and his mum said her husband (Tim's dad) was already 40 when they married; 80-ish.

And Lucy says her parent's 40-year-old marriage.

Lol, she is supposed to be 20??

(meow)

I thought the mum was 20 when she had Tim and 30 when she had Lucy and now she's 60 and Geoffrey is 80.

Maths?

I'm out.

On iPlayer, it says "30-year marriage". Ergo, she's 50.

Well I don't think poor Lucy looks 50. That's going a bit far...

Yeah, it probably should have been a forty year marriage since Tim (the character) is at least mid-30s.

I somehow managed to overcome that logical hiccup and enjoyed the episode very much.

I thought this was probably the best episode of this series, much more silliness and less of the darker bits which had been creeping into the previous shows.

The were several laugh out loud moments for me and lots of titters (appropriately enough for a "Carry On Dancing" episode, as Lee said at one point).

I think that was my fav line. Great stuff last night- I do love NGO. Nice to see a bit of Lee and Lucy, which they haven't focused on much this series. Only 2 more episodes left! :(

Best of the series to date; back to silliness after drugs and porn.

And Lucy says 40 year marriage. So she's 60 and her husband is 80.
