I once wrote a protest song, and it seems a good to spread the word once again...
Look at the birds and you will see,
They live together in harmony.
Look at the doves they fly so high,
Yet humans suffer, humans die.
Look at the robins, full of colour and love,
Look at them all, sent from above.
You can listen and you can see,
What we're doing to this world,
Both you and me.
We can stop this, we can try,
Just uncover your ears and open your eyes.
Look at the flowers, that grow in the fields,
Where we play our wars and use human shields.
Look at the children that play in the street,
With guns in their hands and glass in their feet.
Look at the stars they shine so bright,
But you're polluting our eyes, blurring our sight.
You can listen and you can see,
What we're doing to this world,
Both you and me.
We can stop this, we can try,
Just uncover your ears and open your eyes.
I wrote a letter to the human race,
Informing them of their disgrace.
I asked them please if they would heed,
I need to heel, I can no longer bleed.
Look at what you've done to me,
My trees are dying and so is my sea.
You can listen and you can see,
What we're doing to this world,
Both you and me.
We can stop this, we can try,
Just uncover your ears and open your eyes.
