This isn't that awful film with Hanks that was quite right wing.

That is all.
Scraps of countryside left in Britain that havent yet been concreted over?
80% is still countryside. 80% of new houses are built on previously developed land. Where are the growing population going to live on this densely populated island?
Int th'ole in t'middle o' t'road?

I was going to say the same thing. Traveling on trains across the country, my first impression of England was that there was a lot more open space than I'd expected to exist in a land that had been settled for thousands of years.

Poor attitude, that.
I signed it. I like a bit of forest. Interestingly, (or boringly) Surrey is the most foresty county in England.

Ok I won't f**king sign it because the more people who do sign will waste paper and that means chopping down more f**king trees and decimating the countryside..

Don't let any more of the f**kers in and we'll be OK.
Quote: Griff @ January 27 2011, 4:24 PM GMTHooray! Chappers plays the immigration card on page 1 of my conservation thread. Well, at least I got one person to sign up before it kicked off.
Well that's it mission accomplished then! Concrete over the f**king lot for me.

But you did.....
Done. I love me a bit o'forest.
If these guys wanna cut down a few trees to make room for a hospital and school, that's no bad thing IMO.
What about all the derelict sites that need using up? Instead of commissioning the latest Tesco, give it up to a school.hospital.
Yeah, anyway ... I'm gonna hedge my bet at the moment. ('Hedge', geddit? ROFL!!!)

Problem is ...Tesco are swimming with cash and the government arent. Tesco run their affairs better than the last government did.

Meaningless comparison. Tesco don't have to pay for hospitals, the police and the welfare state. They just have to sell bananas, beans and HD TVs.
I was almost tempted, I likes a bit o bush I does especially late on a Friday night and have been wondering what happened to it over the last twenty years or so. But its trees, not bush.
Bring back bush!
