My Comic: Heinrich Von Bastard

I've been working on a comic called 'The Adventures of Heinrich Von Bastard' a series of tales about a giant demonic skull supervillan (drawn in MSPain with a mouse). Thought I should mention it here, as it references a lot of British humour and there are jokes that only people here would get.

Captain 'Half-Face' Jack McBastard the Giant Pirate is the current story and an expansion (proquel is you will) of BIRTH OF A BASTARD's Episode 69. www.hellbastardcomix.com/comics/captain-half-face-jack-mcbastard-the-giant-pirate/1

END OF THE WORLD is the first story but chronologically the last, so far, about the end of the world. www.hellbastardcomix.com/comics/end-of-the-world/1

X-Bastards is another early one, a parody of X-Men www.hellbastardcomix.com/comics/x-bastards/1

...the other stuff is relativley random scraps I did for SomethingAwful.com

I see

I tried reading Birth of a Bastard, Geoffrey, but the way it was formatted caused me give up pretty quickly. The act of having to scroll down every time I wanted to move to the next frame, plus distracting ads and a plodding pace made for a frustrating read. 13 frames in, my mouse hand is getting sore, and nothing funny has happened.

Yeah I took a risk with that particular story. Large frames for teh first 15 instalments and then it shapes into a normal 4 panel setup.

Yes, I probably should have started with a joke, but the epic intro was for the original readers who requested a backstory...oh well.

I've been thinking about reducing the header, although the recent comics are longer so there's scrolling anway.

Thanks for the input

I agree with this. Also, not enough laughs.

Well, at least now I know no one's reading past the intro.

The final three are vastly superior to the first one.
