Not Going Out - Series 4 Page 13

Very disappointing episode. Carry on porn star without the laughs.

I got a fair few laughs from the episode but I agree with those saying it's not a well made sitcom. The sets look like sets and you can tell the cast are actors playing a part. It just feels poorly put together with the sole focus being on the jokes. Granted that should be a priority but if Tim and Lee want to do that, why not (as I believe was already said) just focus on their stand up? It's not even like you can say the show has a memorable cast of characters going for it. The female characters seem to only appear generally at the start and end of each episode and I haven't seen a sitcom more quickly rotate a cast since Sabrina The Teenage Witch.

The characters are one-dimensional and the show doesn't possess any real warmth. That said, it does have its moments but, overall, a sitcom for the 'easily pleased', I feel.

Thank you.

Got a recommendation about this sitcom on Saturday night, so I went onto iPlayer and watched the three episodes of this current series. Was the first I've seen of Not Going Out and I've got to say, absolutely fantastic all three of them, especially the latter about the porn film. Not laughed as hard as I did for such a long time, all three were great. I'm starting to think this is one of the best sitcoms ever and I've only seen three episodes. Can't believe I didn't notice this for over four years. DVDs I think.

Going Out?

:D

I shouldn't spoil it for myself and watch the clips before the programme- but brilliant!

I'm the same. I try to wait, but I can't. Errr

Dancing. Hmmmm.... :(

Loved the build-up of innuendo. A few bits seemed lighter in laugh count pay-off, but I enjoyed it.

A return to form - laughed my head off - especially when Lee was dancing with Lucy in the kitchen and dropped her - and really funny ending.

Much better than last week's. Although I have to say the he means sex when he says dancing but the others think he's just talking about dancing! bit at the flat got a little tiresome. Errr

How old is Tim's dad meant to be? 80?
