The all-in-one consolidatory football thread Page 208
"Last night The Mail on Sunday sent a transcript and a copy of the recording to a Sky Sports spokeswoman."
Spokeswoman? The little tinkers...
On the subject of post-match interviews I'll wager that if you asked all 20 Premiership managers I bet given a choice only half a dozen would be 'happy' to do them with the rest seeing it as a chore. The reason they do them is beause it would be part of the deal set up with the TV companies. To get value from the millions they pay to get the coverage the interviews are tied into that hence it being compulsory. Fergie not doing them - and getting the club to pay the few hundred quid fine (if that's true) - is simply not right under that contract.
I think what's interesting is that by keeping up this petty vendetta against the Beeb all he's doing is not allowing us to forget that the BBC did an expose on his son in the first place. Every time we talk about the non-interview we're reminded of why it's (not) happening. If he simply got in front of the camera again it will be all forgotten in no time.
From the BBC website...
Manchester United midfielder Anderson has no intention of cutting off his dreadlocks because it would reduce him to tears. He stated: "My hair is my life."
Sigh.
Quote: Nil Putters @ January 23 2011, 3:33 PM GMTI expect they were to busy giggling about the way her boob giggled when she ran to commentate.
Heheh.
What a couple of silly cocks they are.
Quote: Badge @ January 23 2011, 3:20 PM GMTWhen I was watching the game yesterday it struck me as odd at the time that the commentary team didn't give any credit to the ref's assistant when she correctly let play go on for the first goal. It was a big decision and she got it right. Usually they say "the linesman's done well there" or "credit to the linesman", but there wasn't a word.
And they slag off all the male Assistant Referees too.
It's just the old cliche - women don't understand the off-side rule. They're not cutting edge stand-ups.
Quote: Badge @ January 24 2011, 12:27 AM GMTThis story has legs. I just caught a bit of talk on 5 Live's Stephen Nolan Show. Of course when I realised it was the Stephen Nolan Show I turned it straight off. But they were talking about it.
Who's Stephen Nolan?
Anyway - they've both been kicked off tonight's game. Hope that's a good omen for Chelsea.

Thank you!

Believe me, don't try to find out. You just do not want to go there.
When Viz did a centre page spread 'C*nts and Arseholes of the British Isles' he featured in it along with others that included Nicky Campbell. You couldn't get a fag paper between them if a vote were taken.
Who is presenting the football tonight then?
Tottenham bid offers great legacy - Levy
He added: "[The Olympic Stadium] was always meant to be a temporary stadium.
£537m, two weeks use, temporary? !
Why do I feel I've been conned, big time?
Quote: bigfella @ January 24 2011, 8:56 PM GMTWho is presenting the football tonight then?
Germaine Greer.
Quote: zooo @ January 24 2011, 9:00 PM GMTGermaine Greer.
You can be quite funny sometimes Mistress Zooo.
Approximately once a year.
Are women allowed in this thread? I'm not explaining the offside rule to anyone who should otherwise be ironing or cooking my tea!
Do us a favour, love.
Excellent headline in the Sun today refering to them watching last night's game from home.
He's fat! He's round! He watched it from his lounge! Andy Gray...
