Ape Rape

Not sure why Bussell hasn't posted this as he is normally like an eager little hamster but here's a new sketch featuring the two of us.

I did, I just put it up under the original thread 'Cable Sketch' where it was met with crushing indifference.

We can now be indifferent in two places - that's excellent service.

I've not seen it so I'll take a look later today.

Ha! Apologies then, let the indifference continue.

I watched it but was utterly appalled when there was no actual raping of or by apes. Poor show.

Bo.

Clearly you were concentrating too hard on the foreground information, because the video is a veritable treasure trove of spunky monkeys.

I liked this - bit too much preamble I thought, although Bussell's expression as he exited made me do a laughter.
I think the whole thing could benefit from some merciless pruning - seems a bit flabby at nearly two minutes. For me we should get to the ape in half the time.

Good acting though and it looks great. :)

Pfft. Hardly worth getting the hand cream out for.

But I'll give it a go...

Bo.

Is this the ape rape sketch from 2008? I still laugh about that one.

Cheers, Lee face. I was thinking maybe having a hack at the beginning could improve it but I rather like the sinister build up with the tension tone and ominous push/pull zooms. The bit where Stuart's hemming and hawing over whether to press the remote is just the right length for me too - the original cut had it about 20 seconds longer. That said, chances are I'll look at it again in a week and decide you were absolutely right, as often happens with these things.

Laughed out loud at this... good work.

For me, I didn't really get Stuart to be hmmmming and hawing... for me it just came across as him just sitting there for no apparentreason, but then my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Made I laugh and that's the key thing. :D

Thanks, Danny, and may I add that I thought your last doctor sketch was the best Junkmales one to date.

Where's my writing credit, you c**t?

Welcome to the humilating world of professional writing. Ha, that was written by someone else and I didn't quote them either!

Great sketch. Dave's exit face and Stuart's pondering made me chuckle. Thought it should end with the r'ape hand on shoulder moment though.
