A lot of Fry and Laurie love going on so far. They were rather good, weren't they?

I've got the boxset of ABOFAL and find it a bit hit and miss. There's some genius sketches in there, but also some very dull ones. The vox pops are hilarious though - I never tire of them.

I find there's hardly any misses in Fry and Laurie. One of the very few (only) sketch shows with so few dud sketches.
I love the vox pops because they were all shot in Ealing and I used to live there. (It still looks exactly the same.)

I'm a big fan but I agree, there are far too many that devolve into waffle where a punch should be.

Fry and Laurie, Gelliant Gutfright http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juFTWhyC_Lc

Gets especially funny when he gets home at about 3 minutes in. (I do like some good insults)

Michael Bentine and Tommy Cooper in the Secret Agent sketch:

Dom Joly crossing the road as a snail:

I remember seeing this on its first broadcast when I was about 18, and me and my cousin pissing ourselves laughing at it.

I only started watching them after the fact, I would have been a lickle child and more likely to have switched on Russ Abbott and Bobby Davro.

I remember watching them, but I probably didn't get many of the sketches. I used to watch loadsa comedies that I probably should've been watching and just watched them for the sake that they're on late and I'm like a cool grown-up, yeah Cool

Copied to death, but this was shit-your-pants funny when it first aired. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__MUf2Qv6_U&feature=related
