My godson is 9 now. Lots of great pics and memories.

Ellie, might I suggest a really cool photo album as a special gift, with the stipulation that all the pictures are of you and the baby as she grows??
I did that with my godson and my best friend said that it really meant a lot to her.

You can have her name put on it. A friend of mine took a pic of her son sitting on the same baby blanket every year on his birthday. He is 19 now and it is lovely to have a record of how he changed over the years.

I am a Godmother to my best friend's baby (believe me I was shocked) and I'd like to give her a special present on her Christening day. Any suggestions?

Get her a bottle of port or wine maybe that in 21 years time will be perfect for drinking. You would have to speak to a good wine shop about this. Then on her twenty first birthday she can drink it and toast your health - and it will be worth a pretty penny too if you buy the right stuff!

Would you not have to keep it in perfect conditions for 21 years?

Three days til my birthday. Think I'm going to get theses out of some of my monies, but can't find any reviews of the sound quality. Though got to be better than the pound shop earphones I'm using at present.

Just keep it in a dark, cool place.

Oh yes, I can definitely afford £12000!

I was in a pub in Islington last night that had an annoying as hell jobsworth African bouncer working there.

The guy wouldn't let me and my mate stand anywhere near the tables that had "reserved" signs on them, despite the facts that they weren't being used and that the party clearly hadn't showed up yet.

Pretty much every time we tried to put our pints on an available surface, he moved us on. Total wanker.

So we went outside for a fag, and I explained at length to my mate who "Parking Pataweyo" was.

Just as I said the words "Yeah, turns out Harry and Paul aren't massive racists after all" Paul Whitehouse walked past.

I don't think he heard me.

Laughing out loud

Ha!

Trying to write. The desire is there, but the will power is weak.

Gah I know that feeling. Need to write some standup. Can't be shoved.

I just completed half my writing ambition for today.

Now to produce some crap, quality crap mind.

I've been coming up with character ideas for a sitcom. Constantly shying away from the female character so far though. She likes cats and that's about all I have.
