Hitler: the sitcom Page 2

I imagine they would annex ITV 4+1 and Dave before invading the BBC.

All gays, gypsies and Jews would be rounded up and placed in a ghetto (Channel 5).

That's a pogrom I'd like to see.

It's on now on Fiver:

The Sootyj and Supermarket Sweep show.

'Dale Winton is back with a twist. Join Dale in his new Pound Stretcher store that sells pegs, lucky white heather and knock-off power tools.'

The twist is that Sootyj is being hidden in a secret room behind a false bookcase. The first to find him wins a new oven.

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Oh I haven't laughed so much since Hitler invaded...NO KIPPER!

That is a seriously well written and well performed show! OTT and far from PC but brilliantly done! Release it Sky, be brave!

By the way - how much does Hitler sound like Fred Flintstone in this?

Yes!

I enjoyed the Joke. I smiled from start to finish. Loved all the name dropping. I'm sure it could make a good old fashioned series - but alas it never will. The minority PC people always rule the majority sensible people

I worked on a daily topical show called 'Up Yer News', so there must have been 150+ episodes made, but I've yet to meet a soul who saw it on TV.

I've never even heard of that one before. Can you PM me some details?

As for Heil Honey I'm Home!, I believe that the entire series was recorded, although naturally I've no idea how far they may have gone through post.

Unfortunately, almost the entire BSB archive was trashed in the mid 1990s by its then-owner, Noel Gay Television, and it is extremely unlikely that whatever of Heil Honey I'm Home! was completed, survives.

As has been pointed out, the series was supposed to be a parody of cheesey American sitcoms of the 1950s and 60s rather than anything particularly satirical, but whilst I rather enjoyed it, much (as can probably be seen from the link posted previously) just wasn't that funny, and the intended joke was largely lost.

Here's our current guide to the series/programme. The review, sadly, is a bit bollocks. https://www.comedy.co.uk/sitcoms/heil_honey.shtml

Liked it!

Not surprised it was canceled by Sky, after all Murdoch is a Jew . . Allegedly! Allegedly!
