Oh, I might be!
His Hollywood career confuses me.
He should just come home and be the telly guy again.

Visually impressive and I didn't fall asleep or anything. My neighbor has the original movie on DVD so he was able to fill me in on the plot details I'd forgotten since seeing it back in 1982.
I liked Jeff Bridges a lot better in True Grit.

Ahhh cool. I heard bad things, doesn't sound all that terrible.
Quote: Griff @ January 7 2011, 2:46 PM GMTBut I'd be much happier with him doing sitcom again, which I prefer to his films or his standup.
This.
Quote: Griff @ January 7 2011, 2:39 PM GMTI think he wrote it didn't he? (Checks) Yes, and directed it.
Yeah, he co-wrote and co-directed.
Zombieland. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Jesse Eisenberg is like a Michael Cera that can do drama too.
Aggreed. I rather liked Zombieland. The Bill Murray section is best.
Funny People; it was too long, but it was good.

I enjoyed it. Not your standard Sandler vehicle, but very good.

The implication being that the standard Adam Sandler vehicle is a must-see?
I REALLY liked Funny People.

For me it is.
I loved it, it's not so much long as relaxed and has it's own pace. It's really sad and tragic in a low key sort of way, whilst being seriously painfully funny. It's also a rarety a film that's all about why so many of us are trying to get into comedy.
Why is every other Sandler film a sack of ass.
I just love the whole routine about the dad preferring the dog.
I liked Funny Games. Although it's probably the most distressing and gruelling film EVER.

Yes. And the Garfield line is genius.
Funny Games is goooood.
