Did the bitch have your money?

People who think Frankie Boyle's material is racist clearly don't understand it. He's a clever comedian who delivers his material in a post modern 'cultural space'. The only explanation of his cry of 'Black Power' and his Panther salute as he leaves the stage.

Walliams & Lucas are slightly different. I don't believe there is any visible empathy or recognition in their stereotyping - in fact I would go so far as to say they appear to despise most of the people they caricature. The acid test for their kind of comedy would be if they pilloried people from their own peer group and they haven't so far.

The only gay in the village?

or the gay steward, oh and Marjorie Dawes is based on Matt's mum.

There's a huck of lot more warmth in Lucas and Walliams than Boyle. Which isn't to say which is funnier or more or less racist or what ever.

I watched one programme after the other and what struck me most profoundly was how corporate, cynical and over-produced the airport thing was.

The only warmth in it comes from the warmed over jokes.

Personally I suspect Frankie is genuinely trying to be a controversial shock comic in the style of Lenny Bruce or thingy.
Thing is he isn't original enough or smart enough to do it. So he just sounds sort of grumpy and racist, when he's really wants to sound like the rebel he truly believes himself to be.

True it's Little Britain 2 which was always a sketch show designed to get the audience who doesn't like comedy. So it has a strong smell of desperation about it.

I do like the married couple who are pilots.

I think he is smart. I think his comedy has bite. I like grumpy people- there's usually a good reason.

I'm sure Walliams and Lucas wouldn't say they seek to do anything other than entertain, but there's something terribly pointless about what they do.

Well it's like the Greenmile magic cock sketch. Yeh I can see it going for the puling sentimentality in the story and so much American media images of the noble suffering black guy. In some respects it got there, but it couldn't stop revelling in it's own feculence.
