Because it's bollocks.

Pleased I dare say YOU can't dance? Maybe a tad ageist too?..

Only if you go back to Russia first.

Cool I must say, a far more preferable destination.

But which is better, well written unfunny comedy or mediocre writing which is hilarious?

Hmm, good question Madam. You're obviously referring to Miranda with the latter, and this has caused much debate already, has it not. Yes we need funny sitcoms but we also need well written ones. Miranda has its place but it isn't going to win awards for originality or its writing, is it?

Recent examples of well written unfunny sitcoms have been Roger & Val, Rev, and some (though not I) would say The Trip. These are much more likely to win awards for their writing, don't you think?

Personally I think you need a bit of both on TV, but I'd really like to see a return to the type of well rounded sitcom that was both clearly well written and funny. One such sitcom had an episode shown the other night, WHTTLL?. That would clean up at the awards if it were made today, the balance was perfect.

Personally I would rather buy cheaper non advertised brands. But that's me.

And at which non-advertised supermarket would you buy these at?

He can't answer without advertising the supermarket. :S

What's age got to do with Strictly Come Dancing?

? What's age got to do with Strictly Come Dancing?

It's hosted by the World's Oldest Man's Dad.

Ahh, And two young women.
And everyone else on it is in their 20s and 30s.

Makes perfect sense now!...

I think, unless I have missed something very pertinent, most sitcoms do the same schtick each week. That's why there is 'sit' in sitcom.

I don't think you have missed anything pertinent at all, all I'm saying is it's pretty much the same show re-hashed over and over again.

Drive to restaurant singing a song.
Order.
Lots of clips of food being prepared.
Sit at the table and do impressions, while enjoying the food.
Coogan is melancholy on the phone, either on a hill or in the hotel.
Repeat for six weeks.

Peep Show pissed over everything this year. And that includes you and your dumb kids.

I think maybe john lucas didn't get any Christmas presents this year. :(

I thought he seemed a bit more cheerful than usual. Unimpressed

Sorry, ageist? Not as far as I'm aware - and not entirely sure what that would have to do with anything. Having said that, I do loathe youth culture.

I have no interest in dancing.

PhoneShop was surprisingly good.
The Trip was pretty funny but I doubt it'll go down in history.
Curb, although it was aired so long ago, alcohol has since deleted most of my memory of what actually happened in it.
Buzzcocks was best panel show. Lee Mack episode made me cry.

Thanks for joining. Interesting you say that, as I though Buzzcocks has gone downhill badly... although admittedly Lee Mack is good in whatever show he is put.

Here's a plug for our comedy awards voting... the panel show category is a tough one, so your votes are very much wanted: https://www.comedy.co.uk/awards/2010/
