Vic Reeves on Radio 2

Does anyone listen to the half hour radio sketch show thingy Vic Reeves does on Radio2 on a Saturday at 1pm?

I happened to catch it as I was in the car today, and it is typical Reeves! So far out it's orbiting the moon! It's based around him doing daft stuff around his house, with added sound effects and sketches within sketches. Bob Mortimer gets involved as does his wife Nancy Sorrell.
Everyone, get onto "Listen Again" and listen to todays show, first time I've heard it and I'll be tuning in again. It's like listening to Shooting Stars on the radio!

Brilliant!

Laughing out loud

I likes it too.

And it had Davey Stott on it!!

I like it. Radio 2 on a saturday is consistently good.

I particularly like the things Vic puts on the arm of the needle (ask your parents) to stop the record jumping.

Plus his night club singer versions of songs.

And that boosh bloke.

I much prefer the thing after it with Richard Herring.

I listened to this as well (hadn't quite made it to Northampton!)
It wasn't too bad, didn't make me laugh out loud a lot though.

TWTTIN!!

Love it.

I've listened to that for ages with TV's Emma Kennedy.

Bits of it are really funny.

I looove TV's Emma Kennedy.

I'm largely nonplussed by TV's Emma Kennedy.

Well then you must be a silly ninnymuggins and no mistake.

I loved Reeves Big Night Out and Mighty Boosh and Shooting Stars. As for the radio 2 stuff. It reminds me of something you'd write in comp and thought it was brilliant but when you looked back realised it was drivel. Which I feel experienced enough to comment on! Seems to me a vehicle to get the rather talentless Mrs Viv Reeves on something. You can start throwing darts at the screen if you like, but I can promise they wont stick. I've tried.

How can you both like Shooting Stars, Big Night Out, etc, but also think Reeves is talentless?

Nope didn't say he was talentless but this a howler as far as I'm concerned. I know others love it, fair enoughski. But this seems to be a way of slotting in Mrs Vic Reeves ie Nancy Sorrell who is to comedy what I probably am to comedy critique's. It's a personal thing I guess. Plus there have been many writers who have had brilliant success and then followed by a real damp squib. Mr Reeves would be in good company there.

Oh MRS!!

I should read more carefully. Sorry!

Yes, it is a bit annoying that he crowbars her into everything he does comedy wise now.

Don't remember seeing her in that pirates show. Although admittedly that wasn't comedy, and I only saw one episode anyway.
