Bah humbug!

Every bleedin' year it's the same. You go down the town and into the shops and what's playing?

The same old cack that's been going for years and years. Why hasn't any band done a new top Xmas song? Don't get me wrong some of the old chestuts are great but most "pop" ones are 20-30 years old and as for the others "White Christmas" etc they're even older.

The only modern classic as far as I can tell is the Darkness and "Christmas Time"

Bah! Hurrumph!

Christmas time,
Don't bite my bell end

Etc.

Hey! Not the Peter Pan of pop mate?

This old toe and spline

I hate all Christmas songs. They are just shit. I hate Carols, Slade & i want to shoot that twat Cliff Richards. Christmas is for small children & the almost dead old griners.

I too abhor the musical tripe dished up as a soundtrack to mass consumerism. However, this CD is real quality, and very christmassy. Highlight for me is def track #20 - Low - Just Like Christmas (opens mp3 sample)

I love everything about Christmas particularly Slade's Christmas hit, I can't get enough of it :D
I'm going to a Carol evening on Saturday too. I love all the carols.

On Dec 1st I decided to see how long it would take before I heard a certain Slade xmas song. Not long! At lunchtime I was at Sainsbury's where Father Christmas had just arrived, and yes, what should come over the speakers outside the store...? You guessed.

Wizzard's better.

Like the pic. Is that a wasps nest or a beehive?

We even go to a church to hear carols and xmassy hymns sung by a proper choir.
And I'm a big old atheist.
Christmas makes us do some strange things.

I don't like Christmas, my family doesn't like Christmas...in fact my mum hasn't decorated a tree in 4 years! Strange! Ah the child of a divorced family (always good to blame strange behaviour on that) ! :)

You have no joy in your hearts.

I was in a charity shop on saturday, prowling for cheap videos & books, and it was quite refreshing to hear them playing a cd of carols over their soundsystem. A nice change from the wall to wall christmassy pop you hear everywhere else.

As an Athiest, am I aloud to celebrate what is a christian ceremony?

I used to work beside a guy who was a part-time preacher with his own congregation. I sent him a card every year with "Happy Christmas" scored out and replaced with "Happy Present Giving Day"

He used to send me one back addressed to "The Heathen"
