Frankie Boyle's Tramadol Nights Page 29

maddy jokes

theres controversial

and theres dated

Frankie Boyle a racist?

It's hard to imagine any intelligent comedian or comedy fan being a racist.

When I think of the blacks and the Jews' colossal contributions to comedy, I want to round them all up into camps and breed comedians.

Oh, wait . . .

I'll get my coat.

Regardless of the vocabulary used, the jokes quoted in the latest articles are facile and unoriginal rubbish. Stripped of their use of the provocative words nigger and Paki, they are simply incredibly weak and predictable: the kind of lines you'd expect of a 6th former to include in his first ever "political" stand-up set - not the work of a 38 year old subversive comedy genius.

If you want weak and predictable, pick up any current sitcom/sketch show. The last Mitchell & Webb show was just one long smelly shit into a see-through basin.

Episode three of Tramadol Nights was very weak in my opinion. The last two were excellent and anything but predictable. You appear to have an agenda, Walker.

I thought the sketches were poor and some incomprehensible (and not in the good way).

And the stand-up moribund. Offensive for its own sake, dated and basically Micheal McIntyre with swearing and offence.

But not as good.

Some of the sketches reminded me of your stuff sooty - especially the Wonder Woman one and the Centaur's eye/Ian McCulloch one.

Well done, Lieutenant Columbo! You've rumbled me and my agenda. What was it that gave the game away? Was it the posts on this very thread where I've basically said I think that Boyle's a nasty and mostly unfunny c**t, who doesn't have any great wit or purpose to his comedy?

Boy, you're good...

If my writing is truly that lumpen, cheap and predictable after all these years.

In all seriousness I'm giving up

Only one of your pretend sketches where SootyJ the character is doing something surreal with signs. Not one of your proper ones.

That's where your argument becomes irrelevant - when you say Boyle is 'unfunny'. I don't like Michael McIntyre and John Bishop but they're not unfunny.

Some of Frankie Boyle's jokes could survive being told by anyone - even you and me.
